Chris Carlee Chris is excited to be a part of the MurderS She Wrote Dinner Theatre Troupe. She has been performing in community theatre since 1996 when she starred as Jesus Costazuela (that’s right, a Spanish man) in The Odd Couple-Female Version for Stage Door Community theatre. Since then she has starred in numerous productions for Masque of Temple Terrace, Village Players of Brandon, and Carrollwood Players. Her roles include The Housekeeper in The Fall of the House of Usher, Blanch Dubois in A Streetcar Named Desire, Nurse Ratched in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest, Mrs. Morehead in The Women, the Wicked Witch of the West in The Wizard of Oz, Mrs. Oliver in Cards on the Table, Louise Parradine in Postmortem, and Madame in The Good Doctor. Her awards include Best Actress for Postmortem, Best Actress for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, Best Supporting Actress for The Wizard of Oz, Best Supporting Actress in a Minor Role for The Women, and Best Actress in a Featured Role for The Fall of the House of Usher. She has also performed in three productions for the professional theatre company, Stageworks: Briefs and Longjohns, Talking With, and the Arthur Miller classic, All my Sons. Off stage Chris is a registered nurse employed by Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida as a Case Manager. In her spare time she enjoys writing short stories and poetry, painting water colors, hiking, biking, working out, horseback riding, canoeing, traveling and white water rafting. She is a member of Bell Shoals Baptist Church where she is active in the Singles’ Vision Ministry. She is also an active member of The Tampa Writers Alliance. Chris feels her greatest achievement so far has been her 20-year-old son, Trey, who is pursuing a degree in engineering at The University of Florida. She is grateful to both her son and her mother for their support and encouragement during her theatre adventures. Chris regularly performs the roles of the desperate spinster, Bella Mozzarella, in A Wedding to Die For, Greely, the English purser in Murder on Budget Cruise Lines, the twin sisters, Kate and Dupli-Kate, in Murder on the 19th Hole, and the tipsy Bouquet sister, Violet, in Last Will and Testamint. She can also occasionally be seen as Heidi Homecki in A Murder at the Class Reunion of St. Cecilia's All Girls School.
